Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how tAIlored by Rubi, operator of Memovio (the "Service"), collects, uses, and shares your personal data. Memovio is operated by tAIlored by Rubi, Israel. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. Contact: service@memovio.app.
1. Who we are
Memovio is a personal video creation service. You upload your own photos and we generate a short cinematic film using third-party AI video services. The Service is sold worldwide.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: your email address, name, password hash, and profile picture if provided.
- Content: the photos and audio you upload, the films generated from them, and the metadata you attach (titles, subject descriptions).
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, project metadata, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, error diagnostics.
- Advertising identifiers: only when you accept advertising cookies, we load the Meta Pixel which sets identifiers used to measure ad performance and reach similar audiences.
- Support data: messages and attachments you send us.
- Billing data: processed by our payment provider (see section 5). We never see or store your full card details.
3. How your photos are used
The photos you upload are used solely to generate the film you asked for. They are sent to third-party AI video and image services strictly to render your film. We do not use your photos, or the faces in them, to train AI models. We do not sell your photos and we do not share them for advertising or marketing. We do not build a facial recognition profile of anyone.
4. Why we use your data (and legal basis)
- To provide the Service (contract): creating your account, processing your photos, generating and delivering films, managing your wallet balance.
- To run our business (legitimate interests): security, fraud prevention, debugging, aggregate analytics, product improvement.
- To support you (contract / legitimate interests): responding to your messages.
- Advertising and analytics (consent, where required): only after you accept the corresponding cookie category. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- To comply with the law (legal obligation): tax, accounting, and lawful requests from authorities.
5. Payment provider (Merchant of Record)
Payments are processed by Polar, acting as our Merchant of Record. Polar handles the payment method, tax calculation, invoicing, and, where applicable, EU VAT collection and remittance. We receive only limited transaction information (transaction id, amount, currency, and the email used at checkout). We never see or store your full card details. Polar's own privacy notice applies to the checkout experience and is presented to you at that time.
6. Who we share your data with
- Cloud hosting and database: our infrastructure providers for storage, compute, and email delivery.
- AI video and image providers: to process your photos and render your film.
- Payment provider: Polar, for checkout, tax compliance, refunds, and invoicing.
- Advertising platform (consent only): Meta Platforms, via the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, to measure ad performance and reach similar audiences. Loaded only if you accepted advertising cookies.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, and similar where necessary.
- Authorities: where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. These are always on. We also use analytics and advertising cookies (including the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API), but only after you accept them via the cookie banner. No advertising or analytics script fires before you consent.

8. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country (for example in the EEA, the UK, the US, and Israel). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
9. Retention
We keep account, project, and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project, its photos and rendered film are removed from active storage promptly and from backups within a reasonable period. We keep transaction and tax records for as long as required by law (typically 6 to 10 years). When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised. You may delete your account at any time by emailing service@memovio.app.
10. Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month. To exercise your rights, email service@memovio.app.
11. Children
Memovio is not directed at children. Accounts may only be created by adults. Photos of minors may be uploaded only by or with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
12. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your account with a strong unique password.
