Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Tailored by Rubi ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of Memovio (the "Service"), collects, uses, and shares your personal data. We are the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, login credentials, profile picture.
- Content — the photos and audio you upload, and the videos generated from them.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, project metadata, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location.
- Support data — messages you send us, including attachments.
- Billing data — collected by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We receive limited information from Paddle such as transaction ID, amount, currency, and the email used at checkout. We do not see or store your full card details.
2. Why we use it (and our legal basis)
- To provide the Service (contract performance): creating your account, processing your photos, generating and delivering videos, managing credits.
- To run our business (legitimate interests): security and fraud prevention, debugging, product improvement, internal analytics.
- To support you (contract / legitimate interests): responding to your messages.
- To comply with the law (legal obligation): tax, accounting, and lawful requests from authorities.
- Marketing (consent, where required): only with your opt-in; you can unsubscribe at any time.
3. Who we share it with
- Service providers (subprocessors) — cloud hosting and database, AI model providers used to process your photos and videos, email and analytics tooling.
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record, for sale of credits, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. See Paddle's privacy notice.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and similar where needed.
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models.
4. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country (for example in the EEA, the UK, and the US). Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
5. Retention
We keep account, project, and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete a project, its photos and rendered video are removed from active storage promptly and from backups within a reasonable period. We keep transaction and tax records for as long as required by law (typically 6–10 years). When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.
6. Your rights
Subject to local law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection supervisory authority. We respond to requests within one month. To exercise your rights, email support@tailoredbyrubi.com.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is perfectly secure, so we ask that you also protect your account with a strong unique password.
8. Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
